Memory Cafe: Taboo Topics

Thursday, January 28, 2027 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CST)

Description

Our Memory Café offers joy, support, and connection to those with memory challenges, their care partners, and loved ones in a warm and welcoming environment. It’s a place where individuals with memory loss and their care partners can laugh, learn, and stay socially engaged with others who share similar experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Caregiver support to lessen isolation and provide a sense of connectedness is at the heart of our mission, ensuring that no one feels alone on this journey.

Topic: Taboo Topics

Some of the most important questions about dementia are often the hardest to ask. This open and supportive discussion provides a safe, judgment-free space to explore the taboo topics of living with and caring for someone living with memory loss. Questions may be written down anonymously and placed in the question box before the conversation begins, giving everyone the opportunity to ask what’s on their mind.
