Get an up-close look at how sunshine turns into power with a visit to Otter Tail Power Company’s Hoot Lake Solar facility in Fergus Falls! Start with a short presentation in the Operations and Maintenance Building, then head outside for a guided walk through the solar arrays to see the technology in action and learn how it all works. This 49-megawatt site is home to nearly 130,000 panels and has been generating clean energy since 2023, powering around 9,000 homes each year. It’s a fun and fascinating way to explore the future of energy right here in our region!
