Come and enjoy a fun, immersive tour at Finn Creek Open Air Museum, one of Lakes Country’s hidden gems! Step back in time as you explore the sights, sounds, and stories of Finnish-American immigrants and the lasting impact they’ve had on Otter Tail County and beyond. Wander through nine historic buildings and experience what daily life was like in New York Mills—from the schoolhouse and church to the home and general store. It’s a hands-on, engaging way to learn, explore, and connect with local history. Finn Creek Open Air Museum is a project of the Minnesota Finnish-American Historical Society, Chapter 13 New York Mills. Please note: This tour includes a fair amount of walking between buildings, and some areas are not wheelchair accessible.
